Episodes I enjoyed the week of May 8th to 14th…

Being a weekly listener of the Vergecast from theVerge, when I saw this episode in the Decoder episode list, I had to give it a listen. Nilay interviews a former Foxconn executive and does not hold back asking numerous questions about what happened and what went wrong with the plant Foxconn built in Wisconsin. If you happen to listen to the Vergecast, you likely remember the almost weekly remarks about the empty factory that was built to manufacturer LCD panels.

Another podcast I am enjoying listening to each week is the ALL-IN podcast. They discuss a variety of topics and I find it nice the hosts will occasionally have different takes or opinions on the same topic, which can make the discussions interesting. The latest episode covers many of the recent changes in the stock market, along with some discussions about investing and VC funds.

If not my favorite podcast, it is among the top 3. ATP, or the Accidental Tech Podcast, discussed Panic’s new Playdate handheld as the main topic along with the usual pre-show and #askatp segments.

With the week of Google IO, a list without some Google related content would be wrong. One that I enjoyed was Nilay and the gang from theVerge interviewing Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai. I have been consuming a good bit of IO sessions the last few days and plan to write about them in the coming days and weeks.

In the past year, Brett and Christina from the Over Tired podcast have added a 3rd host to the show, Jeff. I have enjoyed the show over the years and Jeff is a great addition. One of the recent episodes I enjoyed was Jeff’s discussion of his house purse (2nd one linked below). It is a great listen, I highly recommend. With the recent episode this week, they invited Alex Cox to join and the quartet was great.

Each weekend I plan to write a post and provide a short list with some of my favorite podcast episode listens from the past week. Come back next weekend for more…
