What I am reading this month…

I decided I would share a list of books I am reading this month. A few fall in line with my current day job and the others fall in line with some areas I would like to pursue in the future.

Bug Bounty Bootcamp — by Vickie Li from No Starch Press

I have read 4 chapters through this book and I am finding it to be a thorough book on the topic. The author also has a YouTube channel. This book starts out with a good intro into what Bug Bounty Programs are and how and where to get started. Then covers many types of exploits that are commonly used, which will give you a good foundation to expand your studying from other books, blogs and videos. The book also covers the proper way to put together a vulnerability report.

Linux Basics for Hackers — by OccupyTheWeb from No Starch Press

I have read a few chapters into this book and I would highly recommend it for anyone that wants to learn a little about how linux works. It also covers the topics among the chapters in a way that I find easy to understand and ingest. I do not think the book is only for “hackers”, but for anyone new to using linux. I have a few other books written by OccupyTheWeb and plan to read them after I finish this one.
